🐻🍊 Remember when a little bear from Peru found his way into our hearts?
On October 13, 1958, a rather polite bear wearing a battered hat and carrying a suitcase made his first appearance in a children's book called A Bear Called Paddington, written by Michael Bond.
And what a bear he turned out to be!
He arrived at Paddington Station in London with a label around his neck that read, “Please look after this bear. Thank you.”
Fortunately, the Brown family did just that. ❤️
Paddington had a fondness for marmalade sandwiches, a remarkable talent for getting into trouble, and impeccable manners. He always tried to do the right thing, even when things went wonderfully wrong.
For generations of children, Paddington was a familiar face on bookshelves, in bedtime stories and, eventually, sitting among the treasured stuffed animals on the bed.
And somewhere along the way, that little bear taught us something rather lovely: kindness never goes out of style. 🧳
