Episode 1: a wood chimney liner replacement on a beautiful fall day in Southern Georgian Bay, with Mack leading the way.

Why replace a liner? Over the years, heat, moisture, and combustion by-products wear a chimney liner down. A cracked or corroded liner can’t vent safely or efficiently, so replacing it protects the home and keeps the wood fireplace running the way it should.

Old liner out, new liner in, ready for a long run of keeping this house warm. Careful, tidy work, start to finish. That’s our crew.

Flashback Friday 🔥 This Chantico gas fireplace in a Collingwood condo was featured by Our Homes Magazine in Spring 2018.

Tip: a gas fireplace is a great fit for condos. A direct-vent unit vents straight through an outside wall, so you don't need a chimney, and it lights at the push of a button.

Design by Elaine Kettlewell of Kettlewells, who refinished the surround to give it that French-cottage feel.
