A little pause from the paintbrush…

I’m going to be taking a short break from posting because something pretty special is happening in our family…

My daughter is getting married on Monday!

So for the next little while, I’m putting the paint, transfers and furniture projects aside and soaking up every moment of this very special time with family. ❤️

I’ll be back soon, refreshed, inspired, and probably itching to get back to creating! 😉🎨

Project 98/281 — Butterflies & Roses 🌹🦋

I was getting pretty close to 100 pieces by this point, and I think you can see how much I was enjoying layering different techniques together.

Just two more projects until #100… and looking back at how each piece has evolved, it’s amazing to see where this journey has taken me. ✨

Project 97/281 — Little Box deserves a Glow-Up 🌸

This little jewelry box was in such a sad state when I found it. It had plenty of holes, missing hardware, and even a mirror that had seen better days. It needed a little repair work before the fun could begin.

Sometimes a piece doesn’t need to be perfect to be worth saving. It just needs someone willing to see what it could become.

Looking back at jewelry box makeover 96! I’ve completed 281 so far and record all creative details for each project. The rice paper from Stamperia was the star of the show and the design was built around her.

Neapolitan Ice Cream Inspired🍓🍫. This was makeover 95 of 281 completed so far .

This little jewelry box was inspired by one of my favourite classic colour combinations — Neapolitan ice cream!

The basket-weave pattern made this one especially time-consuming. I still remember how long it took to apply the cherry blossom transfers over all those little raised sections. 😅

A sweet colour inspiration, a lot of patience, and one more transformation along the way.

This was my first lighthouse. I remember at the time I wasn’t sure if anyone would buy a lighthouse themed necklace holder. I’ve since done 3 😁. I also think it was the beginning of my “go full themed” designs by adding “waves to the sides”, “water droplets”on the top, painted stripes on the inside pulled from the decoupage design. This is project 94 of 281 completed so far.

Project 92 of 281 completed so far— The Buxton Jewelry Box

This big Buxton jewelry box was one of those pieces where I wanted to completely change its personality.
Gave this big boy box a new look using paint, decoupage papers, stencils with gilding wax and new lining.
Another thrifted piece, another chance to turn something ordinary into something completely different.

92 pieces into the journey… and still so many more to share. 💛
