Karli is joining us for the summer as a Junior Designer, brining fresh creativity, curiosity, and a passion for meaningful design. Originally from Thunder Bay, Karli is currently attending Fanshawe College, where she is pursuing her Honour’s Bachelor of Interior Design. With a lifelong love for creative outlets like art and music, Karli is excited to channel that creativity into spaces that inspire connection, productivity, and experience. When she’s not immersed in design projects or school life, she enjoys travelling whenever she can and spending time with family and friends.

A space designed to support every part of campus life.

The goal for LU was to create a dynamic, flexible community space within the Faculty of Education that could be shared by instructors, staff, students, and community partners. The room was designed to support collaboration, study groups, breaks between classes, meetings, workshops, feasts and meals, and a wide range of community events.

The Student Lounge renovation marks the first phase of a broader vision to refresh several teaching and learning spaces throughout the Bora Laskin building, including the Graduate Student Lounge, the Kakina Nidinawe Maaganuk Ceremony Room, and, in the longer term, the auditorium and stage.

Our team rolled up their sleeves for Westfort Clean Up Day — armed with garbage bags, community spirit, and just enough determination to battle the wind.

As proud members of the Westfort Business Association, OMI was happy to do our part to help keep the neighbourhood looking its best.

Huge thanks to our OMI crew who joined in, and an extra shoutout to Aaron at The Sal for once again saving the day with post-cleanup poutine. Honestly? Community service tastes even better with gravy and cheese curds.

And of course, special recognition goes to this year’s team leader, Aila, who managed to collect three socks, assorted mystery treasures, and possibly win the unofficial award for “most interesting cleanup finds.”

The result is a bright, flexible headquarters at 920 Tungsten Street; designed to support daily operations today, while adapting seamlessly for tomorrow.

After years of dedication, leadership, and keeping projects sailing smoothly, André is beginning to chart a new course toward a little more time on the water and a well-earned slower pace.

While he’ll still be around during the transition, we’re excited to officially introduce Chris as our new Installation Manager and main point of contact for all service-related requests moving forward.

Chris has been working closely with André and our incredible install team over the past year to ensure a seamless handoff and the same level of care, reliability, and follow-through our clients know and trust.

André has helped build an amazing foundation here, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything he’s brought to the team over the years. But this fall/winter, he'll be seeing a lot more sunsets, a little more wind in the sails, and a new chapter ahead.
