Some of my newest additions! Here are 6 out of the 10 that have hatched so far. Also I am waiting on four that are under a silkie, which should hatch any day. These are all from my own flock, some are mixes and some are full Brahma. The ones waiting to hatch should all be bantam Cochin!

Hatching eggs available! Every one that we have checked has been fertilized, our roosters know their job! I have had successful hatches as well.

I have a Brahma rooster and a black bantam Cochin rooster. Both super sweet and friendly. They are out in the flock together but so far I haven’t seen the Brahma breed with the bantam Cochin hens yet. There is a chance though, so be prepared.

For hens I have: Australorps, a Chantecler, a Cream Leg Bar mix, a light Brahma, and two bantam Cochins. All of these hens are super friendly, lay really well, and are hardy.

Offering eggs at $12/half dozen or $20/ dozen.
Chicks will be available in a few weeks.
No shipping, pick up from my farm or we can meet up somewhere convenient.

As many of you know I am a second generation homeschool mom of three and I am helping organize not one, but TWO homeschool co-ops this year. One in Port Elgin and one in Kincardine. Here are the details for the Port Elgin Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op! Stay tuned for Kincardine details.

✨ We are excited to share that registration for Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op 2025/2026 is officially open! Below we have listed all the ‘Need to know’ questions and answers. If you find yourself with other questions, please reach out in the comments below or DM me.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Shoreline Baptist Church
910 Goderich St, Port Elgin, ON.

WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK DOES THE CO-OP RUN?
The program will run from 12:45-3:30PM Friday afternoons starting on October 3rd till May 29th (with the exceptions of snow days and holidays).

WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE?
•Student’s are between the ages of 4 & 10 years old.
•We offer a play space for children 3 and under. All we ask is that if you have a child(ren) in the 3 and under space that you, along with the other families sharing this space, help supervise. We are a co-op and we all work together.

HOW DO I REGISTER?
Send us a Direct Message on our Facebook PAGE. There you will be sent the registration link. If you can’t find the page, I will send you the link.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
It is $150.00 per student this year. We do our best to keep costs as low as possible. (This is simply to cover our insurance and supply costs).

DO PARENTS NEED TO ATTEND?
Yes. We are not a drop off.

WHAT PROGRAMS DO YOU OFFER?
Our format is broken into two learning sessions. Starting at 1:00 till 3:00 (roughly).
SESSION ONE: Unit Studies
(Parent led; 4-5 weeks long)
SESSION TWO: Workshops
(Led by skilled professionals; 3-4 weeks long)
Here’s an example of some of last year’s Workshop leaders:
•a music teacher
•an art teacher
•a strength trainer
•a chiropractor
(We are working on an exciting new line up for this year!)
