✨ Satisfing ceramic studio ASMR
☺️ This time is compressing slab to reinforcing and smoothing out the clay surface.
😉 Can you guess what we made?

😜 Still trying to learn how the colours in the studio shows on this clay body
Kiln opening is always such a mix feeling ride🤪
😅 Having to wait for 8+hours for it to finish the heating process and then 9+ hours of cooling process before getting to open the kiln safely.
Breakdown of the emotional roller coaster lately:
🥳 Loading in the kiln: 10mins (excited)
🤔 Waiting for firing: 17hrs + (lots of what ifs)
😳 Opening the kiln: 5 secs (reliefs)
✨Endless learning life lessons with ceramic practice. Constantly learning how to:
Letting go;
Managing expectations;
Emotional regulation;
Deepening awareness of cause and effect
🫧 Pottery is never only the calm side people associate with. It is literally roller coaster half of the time. Specially when you are a beginner like me. But that’s also the beauty of pottery where it simplifies complex life lessons into an express classtime.

🌈 Could you guess what the painting is?
🥰 Found an old bisque piece on the shelve and had such fun time painting this one. It takes double the time to hand paint with underglazes but it adds such meaningful touches to it.
🧐 What do you think? Should I do more hand painted pieces? What should the next hand painted piece theme be?!
