The fireplace on the left is original to the room. The homeowner wanted to update and go with something more contemporary. We removed the existing fireplace and cabinetry then reframed for the beautiful new 3 sided unit. For the base we installed “Panda” porcelain custom cut panels. It certainly brightens up the room!

Today Peter is working to bring this massive old fireplace up to current standards. It is in an amazing, rustic family cottage in the Kawarthas. Peter is 6’5” so this is quite the project. We will also be lining the chimney and installing a draft inducer to ensure that the smoke goes up the length of the chimney and out, and we maintain the air quality in the room.
