In support of community programming, gathering, and fitness, this 4,000 sq. ft. renovation was completed at Riverstone Comminity Centre for City of Brampton earlier this year. The project scope included the regeneration of existing multi-use, fitness, washroom and administrative areas. The mandate for the design was to create contemporary, open, and accessible spaces to support the needs of the community. The exclamation mark of the design is the new fitness room which breaks the ceiling plane by introducing a coloured hexagon acoustic paneling pattern paired with lighting and ventilation to create a dynamic space. 📸 Architectural Photo | Wilson Costa

This renovation introduced a small addition to the existing historic library, located next to the Market Lane Shopping Concourse. The design carefully balances contemporary expression while respecting the original structure. It enhanced the library’s presence along the streetscape, establishing a welcoming and dynamic frontage.

The renovation included a new basement lounge, a flexible ground-floor lobby, and a mezzanine level that extends from the main floor, encouraging informal gathering and movement. Designed to support a range of uses, the spaces were intentionally adaptable, allowing the library to evolve alongside community needs. Natural light plays a central role throughout the project, providing maximum fenestration to draw daylight deep into the interior, fostering a warm and inviting ambience. 📸 Architectural Photo | Wilson Costa

Adventures don’t have to be limited to sunny days! At Adventure Alley, indoor activities are enjoyed year-round. Situated at the base of a new family-forward development in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood, Adventure Alley is a modern take on any child’s dream playground. This indoor activity centre blends interactive play with new technology, while offering widely loved jungle gyms for active kids. Each colourful pocket of this centre is thoughtfully designed for children of all ages to ensure safe and enriching activities for youth and families.
 
Entering Adventure Alley exemplifies safety as a priority. The reception oversees the entry gates and shoe cubby area, while cushioned mat flooring lines the jungle gym areas. Play areas are separated by low-height millwork for guardians to maintain visibility of their children or parked strollers from the central café. When play is paused, the café provides rest space for the whole family. Rain or shine, a private party room can be reserved to gather families and friends, making Adventure Alley offers the ideal playscape for any occasion.

Upscale, timeless, and coveted are a few defining words shared between Yorkville Avenue and its newest supper club, Powder Room. The interior is enveloped in custom branded drapery, leopard print walls and a speakeasy-style ambience. This upscale cocktail lounge introduces an intimate music stage and calming hospitality experience to enjoy live entertainment, Michelin-worthy food, and thoughtful design. Organica Studio’s architectural design assisted Liberty Entertainment Group with curating this space with a focus on comfort.
 
Each corner inside Powder Room reveals the desirable components of your new favourite lounge. The entry, covered in Rosso Levanto stone, opens towards the matching 26-foot long cocktail bar. Across the bar, a window frames an iconic Banksy and peeks into a photographic corridor which parallels the open lounge. The deep cherry tones of stone are softened by velvet fabric engulfing the stage and private dining room. Similar to the historic streets of Yorkville, Powder Room embodies a charming character at every turn..

Foreshadowing the interior of this wood-fired bagel shop, the storefront showcases embedded charcoal-finished firewood with a warm brick surround. Bagels on Fire opened their fourth location, with Organica’s interior design nodding to their refined brand identity. Located in the heart of Liberty Village, visitors gain a taste of the wood-fired bagel experience before entering the store.
 
The design intent behind this food-retail project was to source materiality and themes of their existing three locations into a defining brand identity. A modern approach to charred wood, brick mantles, and forged metal is evident from the service experience through to exterior signage. Thoughtfully selected materials will encourage the family-run franchise to expand their locations with versatile variations of an identifiable brand identity.
