A room with only one light source is a room that only works in one mood.

The fix: layer it. Ambient (overhead), task (functional), accent (the drama). In the Teddington project, a dome pendant does the heavy lifting — but it's the wall sconces and the table lamp that make the room feel alive at 9pm.
