We love a banquette and this one especially so. This image represents what we do in a snapshot - we love to layer and we love to create spaces that our clients and their friends and family will enjoy for years to come. We layer old with new, modern with traditional so the spaces don't have a time stamp, we avoid anything too trendy and we don't do disposable design. Love where you live!

The kind of dining room built for a full table, which feels right this week as we head into Canadian Thanksgiving.
A cluster of blue glass pendants drops down through the double-height space, rust velvet chairs sit alongside a softer patterned weave, and the piano in the adjacent salon means the evening rarely ends when the plates are cleared.

Swipe to see this space from the very beginning.
Before there was an inviting banquette, we simply had a shell of drywall and glass. We imagined so much more, a layered space where simple mid-week meals or family celebrations are held. We had a single starting point - our clients artwork - under and around this we layered wallpaper (of course) an upholstered banquette, accent cushions and gorgeous pendant lighting.
A room like this does not happen in one step. It happens one considered decision at a time.

An inviting kitchen dining space we still think about long after the project wrapped.
An antique table (that originally came from a European monastery) anchors the room, while the burnt sand upholstered chairs and the leopard blind keep it from ever feeling too serious. The green door leads straight out to the garden (we never paint ours white), so the room never really closes off from the outdoors.
This is the kind of table you gather around without needing an occasion.

The kind of kitchen that makes you want to slow down, stay in and cook something on a Friday night.

Warm cabinetry paired with a striking stone splash (that does all the talking), a black leathered waterfall island for landing groceries and glasses of w**e in equal measure, and architectural down lighting that helps you see everything you need!

A mud and laundry room does a lot of work in a day, so it needs to hold its own.
We paired custom woven baskets in the same palette as the rest of the house and a pendant with just enough personality to make the everyday feel considered. Placing the art work below the window frame adds a touch of a quirky!

In his home we turned a simple entrance foyer window by the front door into a place to sit and take your shoes off. We extended the window frame into the foyer and partially wrapped the seat and back in bolsters that are upholstered in a herringbone wool weave and a soft coral velvet.
