This week we are going to have a whole week of before and afters so you can really see what we can do and everyone loves a before and after story.

First up - the gracious arched entrance that provides pantry and small appliance storage on one side, access to the laundry room on the other and a gracious view of the kitchen. The flush mounts create a sense of being, they add warmth and substance and gently lead the eye through. The custom blue ceiling fixture mount is also picked up in the blue globes of the kitchen pendant light and banquette upholstery - which I will share tomorrow.

The before is what we started with, the after comes after months of planning, design and co-ordination - no detail left and all options reviewed and approved.

Time away to reset and pause is simply lovely and this summer I blended my summer holidays with a design trip as well as catching up with loved ones in three different countries. It sounds the least thing like a pause, but I find time away from my regular routine a pause no matter the pacing! This pretty photo was taken in the summer house one year I want to go in the depth of winter and enjoy the short days filled with candle light.

These two images represent months of work.

Between framing and completion there are hundreds of technical drawings, site meetings, conversations, midnight brain churn, sourcing decisions, revisions, procurement schedules and quality checks.

The finished room is what everyone sees.

The process is what makes it possible.

That's where our work truly happens.
