Serene, comfortable, quiet

We designed this living room for our clients (a family of four) to enjoy daily. An open custom bookshelf for the whole family of avid readers. Large glazing with views of the private backyard and a window bench that multi functions as storage or an extra deep stone sill for plants. 🌱

What you have been waiting for! A house tour of our farmhouse project! It’s a long reel so take a cup of coffee and enjoy 😉

Thank you to everyone involved who made this project a success and especially our absolut wonderful clients who from day one gave us 100% trust to transform their home.

Working on this home was such a joy! Every single site visit allowed us out in nature surrounded by farm fields. Each and every trade on this project approached it with such care and attention. We appreciate the friendly conversations and the team spirit through it all!

When complicated looks effortless… that’s teamwork. 👏✨

This project was not easy. There were a lot of moving parts, technical requirements, and one particularly ugly fire shutter that needed a very creative solution. 😂

Luckily, we had the right team behind it.

Nuno led the charge (okay… mostly Nuno made it happen 😉), with:

Linnea Lions & Martin de Sousa bringing the vision for the stair, railing, and interior selections.

Aeon Design & Architecture Studio | led by Sacha Lee, OAA tackling the amazing window, Ontario Building Code requirements, and collaborating on the fire shutter ex*****on.

And Structura By Franco building it all — while going slightly stir-crazy figuring out how to make a necessary-but-not-so-pretty fire shutter disappear into the exterior. 😅

Main bedroom retreat!

We built a new house with Maxwell Contracting and Development LTD and with that came a 3rd floor escape for our clients. Here is their bedroom with clever custom built in storage by Ström Cabinetry, wallpaper wrapping the main bedroom and ceiling to bring height to that headboard wall. The walk out balcony in the treetops gives our clients a private relaxing hangout spot to unwind!

A little behind-the-scenes insight into just how much planning goes into our projects… and this is just for one vanity! 👀

Imagine how many details we design, review, discuss, coordinate and problem-solve for an entire home!?

Let’s just say… a lot. 😅

And there’s a reason for it. All of this planning is done to minimize mistakes, avoid oversights, prevent costly re-work, and ensure every detail comes together exactly as it should.

✨ Invest in your designer from the very beginning, and you’re not just investing in the pretty parts — you’re investing in the process, the planning, the problem-solving, and ultimately, a carefully curated and thoughtfully designed end result.

Because great design doesn’t just happen… it’s planned. 😉

When we reimagined this farmhouse, we knew these beautiful old doors had to be preserved.

Originally tucked away at the back of the house, they were hidden from view and couldn’t be appreciated for the character and history they brought to the home.

We decided to give them a new place of honour at the front of the house — and now, they’re the showpiece of the entire home.

Sometimes, the most special details are the ones worth preserving.
