Renovations feel overwhelming because there’s no roadmap.

Most renovation overwhelm doesn’t come from the work itself, it comes from not knowing what decisions are coming next.

When everything feels urgent and unclear, decision fatigue sets in fast.

A thoughtful plan creates structure, confidence, and momentum. Design should feel intentional, not stressful.

Let us make a thoughtful plan for you!

Most clients assume designing their home will feel intuitive.

And then the process actually begins.

Once you’re making real decisions, for a renovation, new build, or furnishing project, the layers add up quickly.

That’s when clients truly appreciate having professional support to guide decisions, simplify the process, and keep everything moving forward with confidence.

Good design isn’t about making it look pretty. It’s about making hundreds of decisions feel manageable.

🎨 The biggest colour mistake we see in homes? Undertones.

Most people think their space feels “off”… but they can’t quite explain why.

The issue usually isn’t the colour itself, it’s the undertones.

There are 9 different undertones, and they don’t all play nicely together. When finishes, paint, and furnishings are pulling in different undertone directions, a home can feel disjointed, flat, or unfinished, even if everything is beautiful on its own.

Once undertones are aligned, everything clicks. The space feels cohesive, intentional, and calm.

This is exactly why choosing paint first (or guessing) rarely works. If your home doesn’t feel quite right, undertones are likely the missing piece.

Send us a DM if you want help getting it right, colour is kind of our thing 😉🎨

The millwork magic is happening, dining room moulding and powder room wallpaper are up, and the living room fireplace built-in is taking shape beautifully.

We can already see this project coming together exactly as we imagined. ✨

Proof that even designers can’t resist a good home refresh 😉

Wallpaper in the mudroom and pantry, new sconces and wallpaper in the family room, and the sweetest laundry room wallpaper + Roman shade combo (Archie’s new favourite spot 🐾).

Who else is in their “let’s update everything” era?

Rugs can totally transform a space, but only if you get the size and placement just right. Here are 3 rug rules to keep your room looking pulled together:

1️⃣ Go Big or Go Home: Your rug should anchor the space, not float like an island. Ideally, all your furniture legs should sit on the rug—or at least the front legs. A rug that’s too small can make the whole room feel disconnected.

2️⃣ Mind the Distance: In dining areas, make sure your rug extends at least 24” beyond the edges of the table. This way, chairs stay on the rug even when pulled out, creating a cohesive look.

3️⃣ Proportion is Key: When choosing a rug for a living room, aim to leave 12–18 inches of space between the edge of the rug and the walls. It keeps the room balanced without feeling overcrowded.
