What an absolute privilege to create the stage arrangements for this year’s convocation at Dal AC today!

It feels like a bit of a full circle moment for me. I crossed this stage 16 (ummm what?!) years ago. I’ve spent the last 15 years working on campus (still do 😉) and then I got to flex my creative muscles and make the stage arrangements for today’s ceremony. I call it “spring threw up in the whiskey barrel”.

Convocation is one of my favourite days on campus. Celebrating students who we get to know, support and mentor. I always get filled with so much pride for them! Congrats to the Class of 2026!

Propane w**d torch review. I had a few people ask me to let them know how it worked. Overall, worth the price but if you’re looking for something a little more high powered, you may want to look at a more expensive model.

When it’s freezing on May 31, and it feels like it’s been raining forever, it definitely makes sense to head to the garden centre to get more plants, right?! Someday the sun is going to come out and I’m gonna be ready! 🌱

I’m just so proud of this new flower stand! It’s certainly not perfect (or square) but it’s everything I wanted! AI instructions mixed with a heaping helping of ADHD, a lot of help from friends and my vision came to life! I can’t wait to fill it up with beautiful flowers all summer long!

Happy New Year Flower Friends!

You may have noticed I’ve been quiet the last few weeks. I took some much needed time off and have still been embracing the slow that comes with January.

This past year I had a lot on my plate (mostly all by my own doing), and my cup was getting low in December, but I was determined to make it through Christmas before giving myself some downtime.

Days before Christmas our family received hard news, and late on Boxing Day my Grampie passed away surrounded by love and family. I am fortunate to live close to the hospital where he spent his last weeks, and I was able to visit often. I have wonderful memories and know I was loved for my whole life by my Grampie. These are the things that have helped me through the grief of the last few weeks.

All of this is to say, if your 2026 started on a tough note, I hope you take the time to rest and restore yourself. We can start to grow and set new goals in a couple of months when the plants and flowers start to wake.
