Your bedding is not worn out. It was never checked properly in the first place.

From our family-run shop (the online kind) to your bedroom: a few things we have learned after years of helping Canadians sleep better, offered the way we would offer them across a kitchen table. No hype, no countdown timers — just the bedding truth as we know it.

Let us settle 1 kling feb 12 2024 properly. Most confusion in bedding comes from labels written to sell rather than to explain, and once you know what to check at home — with your own hands, on your own bed — the confusion evaporates and the choices get simple.

The at-home checks are simple. Press the pillow and watch the recovery. Feel along the duvet for thin channels. Check the cover's closure before you fall in love with its print. Sixty seconds of hands-on honesty at your own bedside beats an afternoon of reading star ratings written by strangers with different sleep.

Care properly once, and the bed takes care of you for years.

We also believe in saying what bedding cannot do. No duvet fixes a mattress that has given up, and no pillow repairs a schedule that runs you ragged. But within its lane — temperature, support, the feeling of being properly tucked in — good bedding is the highest-leverage upgrade in the bedroom, and it is not close.

Be honest: when did you last wash your duvet — and do you actually know how? 👇🎤 No judgment. Half the country is guessing, and the guesses are expensive.

From our family-run shop (the online kind) to your bedroom: pillow three jobs.

We love when this topic comes up in messages, because the answers genuinely help people sleep better. Job one: support — keep your head and neck in line with your spine, all night, without being asked.

The pattern we see constantly: someone buys quality once, maintains it never, and blames the product in year two. Bedding is like a good pair of boots — the care is not extra, the care is the product's second half. A few habits, done on schedule, protect a serious purchase for a decade.

Job two: temperature — a pillow that traps heat will wake you up no matter how supportive it is.

Job three: hygiene — it lives closest to your face, so it should be the most cared-for item on the bed. Buy once, care properly, sleep like it matters — because it does.

Canadians, we need to talk about our bedrooms specifically. Our houses swing from furnace-dry in January to humid in July, and bedding that cannot adapt gets voted off the bed by September. Choosing materials that breathe and regulate is not a luxury decision here — it is a climate decision.

When did your bedding last get a proper review at home? 👇🎤 More bedding honesty coming. The bed appreciates your attention.

A note from our little bedding company about sleep by numbers.

Grab a tea. This is the longer, useful version we wish we could give everyone individually. Hours in bed per year: over three thousand. Percentage of them affected by bedding temperature: nearly all of them.

Here is what years of selling bedding teaches you: people do not have sleep problems nearly as often as they have setup problems. The bed is a system — fill, fabric, fit, and routine — and when one part is off, the whole night files a complaint. Fixing the system is usually cheaper than replacing it.

The average person replaces a pillow years after its support has effectively retired.

Numbers do not care about marketing. Change the inputs — loft, breathability, fit — and your numbers change. Comfort is a decision you make once and enjoy three thousand times.

The pattern we see constantly: someone buys quality once, maintains it never, and blames the product in year two. Bedding is like a good pair of boots — the care is not extra, the care is the product's second half. A few habits, done on schedule, protect a serious purchase for a decade.

What would you add to this list from your own hard experience? 👇🎤 From our home testing to yours: may your loft be high and your nights cool.
