Very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon at the hive weaving brooches. Here are some we made. My next brooch workshop is at The Cann on October 7th, I’ll be advertising it soon.

Finished my ‘Art, Art Quilt ‘ ! Lots of appliqué where I linked art sayings with paint brushes as a border. Thanks patchwork hare for the log cabin workshop. Brimming with lots of ideas now just need 48hr days !

Do you think you can’t draw ? I’m sure I can teach you as I’ve done with so many over the 45 yrs I’ve taught it on and off.
Those who have previously come to the workshop can take their beautiful drawings to another stage.
Everything is included, cuppas and cake also provided

Here are the Cann Barn Retreat days for October and November
11.00- 3.00.
🫟2 spaces left decoupage, 2 spaces left weaving 🫟
£15 includes any workshop tuition and help, plus essential cuppas and cake. Doesn’t include materials if needed.
All materials, if needed, are charged at cost.
Limited to 8 people, please book but no hurry till nearer the time. I’ve extended decoupage to 9 now as almost booked up !
For the weaving if using a loom please only bring our small loom plus I will warp up a couple too. Please note this is a changed date from September as most want to do the week days.

Denim and lace weaving and patch making to add to your jacket, bag etc.
All materials provided except the jacket being upcycled however I will have some jackets you can purchase.
A tote bag to upcycle is included .
All day, refreshments provided but please bring your own lunch .

A while ago I showed photos of samples I had knitted with hand dyed Italian yarns. I’ve now created unique knitting bags with them adding needles, stitch holders, row counters etc and 4 balls or hanks of coordinating yarn. I’ll be selling them at the Welshpool show in September but if you are interested let me know. They are £15-£25 depending on the intricacy and cost of yarns.
