Our calendar season is back! 🌖
One of our all-time favourites, the Teshigoto Calendar 2027, is now available online and in-store.
Made in limited quantities, these charming calendars make thoughtful gifts for the new year — or a lovely little gift to set aside for someone special 💙
Created by Japanese katazome (stencil-dyeing) artist Koichi Odanaka, the calendar features twelve designs inspired by seasonal landscapes and the beauty of Japanese handicrafts. Originally hand-dyed on traditional handmade washi paper, each design is reproduced in a smaller format for this delightful desktop calendar.
With gentle, vibrant colours and warm-hearted designs, each page brings a little moment of beauty into everyday life.
Teshigoto means “handicrafts” in Japanese. Through his work, Odanaka hopes to share the joy of traditional Japanese handcraft and remind us to slow down and appreciate the small things that make each day special.

[About the artist]
Born in Iwate Prefecture in 1950, Koichi Odanaka trained under renowned dye artist Keisuke Serizawa. He continues to explore the traditional art of katazome at his family’s workshop. Since 2009, he has created the Japanese Handcraft Calendar and is a member of the Crafts Division of the Kokugakai, a Japanese art association.
