I've been a glaze rut lately, a funk, maybe even a small depression.
Since I started making my own glazes in 1998, I thought I'd keep my work manageable by pretty much using one glaze base recipe. I often recommend to people to find one base you like and then add oxides from there. For us with wandering minds and poor note taking skills, this was a great approach.
Until- some essential ingredient are no longer available.
This started last year with EPK being "temporarily " unavailable.

The best one out of a remarkably ugly firing!

I was experimenting with surfaces and while I'd consider them to be very unpleasant to look at, I learned a lot, which is never wasted effort.
