My Cantonese client commented that he thought the colours in the first concepts were too “sour”. I had used their chosen green Sherwin William’s Valleyview walls with black and white accents. I asked copilot why he would say “sour”. The answer was shocking. There is a Cantonese word for too harsh or “eye stingy” that sounds like sour. It helped me to amend.

So I redesigned.
Top is the new softer scheme and bottom is my first pass.

Do you think 2 looks less “eye stingy” harsh? What else should I add?
