Window treatments shouldnโ€™t be the last decision on a custom build.

Weโ€™re regularly brought into projects after electrical has been run, recessed pockets have been built and windows have been installed, only to discover that the planned window treatment canโ€™t work the way everyone expected.

The issue isnโ€™t that the builder, architect or designer did something โ€œwrong.โ€ Window treatments are a specialized trade, and small technical details can completely change the requirements.

Our best projects are the ones where weโ€™re brought in during planning. We can coordinate with the design and construction teams early, identify potential conflicts and make sure the infrastructure is appropriate for the treatments actually being installed.

During planning is ideal. Framing should be the latest.

Details like this donโ€™t happen at the end of a project.

Blindspace systems allow roller shades and drapery tracks to disappear completely into the architecture, leaving nothing but a clean ceiling line when the treatments are open.

The important part? These systems need to be coordinated early, while framing, ceiling details and electrical are still being planned.

We work with architects, designers and builders to specify and coordinate concealed window treatments before construction reaches the point where the opportunity is lost.

A clean exterior install often comes down to the details.

These columns stepped in and out, so we fabricated custom notched posts to create a flat mounting surface for the zip screens while keeping everything clean and intentional.

The end result feels integrated into the architecture, rather than added on afterwards.

Most window-covering companies only tell you the benefits.

The truth is, every option has limitations too.

Zebra shades can make a strong modern statement, but may feel busy across too many windows. Drapery can completely transform a room, but only when the proportions and stack space are planned properly. Cellular shades may be less decorative, but they can be the smartest option when insulation is the priority.

There is no โ€œbestโ€ window covering, only the right solution for the space.
