OUR FINAL DAY OF THE 2026 SEASON IS HERE - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10! 🍅

Today is your last chance to shop at the MD Gardens Farm Store before we tuck our little urban farm in for the winter! We’re open until 5 PM, so come stock up on locally grown goodness for your Thanksgiving table.

🍅 Heirloom + Artisan Tomatoes - loads of ripe and ripening beauties, bursting with flavour! Stock up on a mix of fully ripe tomatoes to enjoy right away and grab some blushed tomatoes that can continue ripening on your counter at home (as seen in the photo). This will help you stretch your garden-fresh tomato season just a bit longer!

🫑 Peppers - colourful goodness for your kitchen.

🥒 Cucumbers - several crisp, crunchy varieties still going strong!

🥕 Carrots + Baby Beets - earthy, colourful additions to your Thanksgiving feast.

🧄 Cured Garlic - for delicious cooking now and planting this fall for next summer’s harvest!

🌿 Fresh Herbs - dill, rosemary, thyme, parsley, oregano and mint, harvested on demand for maximum freshness. Enjoy them now or preserve some for winter.

💐 Fresh-Cut Flowers - a few blooms remain to brighten your Thanksgiving table.

🥩 Pork + Lamb - locally raised by Lakeside Livestock, our century-old family farm near Kelvington, SK.

Everything we grow comes from our urban lot in Warman, where we make the most of every square inch while prioritizing healthy soil and thriving pollinators. No synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides or herbicide sprays. No plastic packaging. Just thoughtful growing practices, hands-on work and a whole lot of love for good food. Because good food is everything! ❤️

As we wrap up another season, we’re so grateful to everyone who has shopped with us, shared our posts and helped spread the word. Your support means the world to our little farm!

OUR FINAL FEW DAYS AT MD GARDENS! 🍂

The growing season may be winding down, but we’re not done yet! We practice season-extension techniques that allow us to keep harvesting long after some crops have called it quits and we’re still picking fresh produce daily.

If you’re getting ready for the Thanksgiving weekend, come stock up and bring a little piece of our urban farm to your family table.

💚 LEEK LOVE FOR THE FINAL DAYS OF OUR SEASON!

Leeks are one of our favourite alliums. They have a way of adding a little elegance to just about anything you cook. They are also mellow, sweet, savoury and downright delicious.

But leeks take their sweet time. They’re a long-season crop (taking about 8 months to grow), which is why they’re making their appearance in the farm store right now, with only a few days left in our season.

A couple of our favourite leek recipes:
🥧 Parmesan + Leek Quiche by Once Upon a Chef
🥔 Potato Leek Soup with Buttermilk + Dill (can also use yogurt or sour cream) by Andrea Buckett

And if you’re thinking about your Canadian Thanksgiving table, now is the time to stock up!

🥔 KLONDIKE ROSE POTATOES ARE HERE!
Some things are worth waiting for and these beauties are definitely one of them!

After more than TWO growing seasons of anticipation, we’re thrilled to finally share the incredible Klondike Rose potato with our MD Gardens customers!

This specialty variety was introduced to the market in 2002, but finding seed potatoes in Canada has been no easy task. We were incredibly fortunate to have received a sampling of Klondike Rose seed potatoes a couple of years ago from our wonderful neighbour, who has lovingly kept this variety going. ❤️ We have since been building our own seed stock and now, the reward is ready for your table!

🥔 These potatoes have beautiful rose-pink skin with a gorgeous, deep golden-yellow interior.

🥔 They have an unbelievable flavour that is rich, buttery and absolutely delicious.

🥔 Their kitchen versatility is wonderful: Bake them, grill them, mash them or roast them. With their naturally buttery texture and incredible flavour, these potatoes are something special no matter how you prepare them.

⚠️ Please know that our limited harvest means limited availability! We’ve waited over two seasons to share these with you, and once they’re gone, they’re gone for this season. Don’t wait too long to get your hands on these remarkable potatoes!

🧄 ATTENTION ALL GARLIC LOVERS! 🧄

Our locally grown, fully cured garlic is now available at the MD Gardens Farm Store and this year’s garlic is worth getting excited about!

Big bulbs. Big flavour. Big possibilities.

Grown right here in Warman, Saskatchewan as naturally as possible, with no sprays or harsh chemicals. Our locally grown garlic is in a league of its own! It is rich, aromatic and packed with the kind of flavour that makes a little go a very long way.

And cured garlic gives you options:
Use the cloves as seeds this fall to be enjoyed as next year’s crop
Cook with it now for big, bold garlic flavour
Store it for months and enjoy this year’s garden goodness when we are deep in snow. Your winter self will thank you!

As a new school year gets underway, we want to wish all the teachers, administrators, and students a wonderful year ahead!

At MD Gardens, we love our community, and we know that teachers and administrators play such a pivotal role in building a community and keeping it strong. To celebrate them and all they do, we’re giving away a FREE seasonal bouquet to a lucky teacher or administrator!
