Yves Saint Laurent in his and Pierre Bergé’s Marrakech home “Dar Es Saada”.

After discovering Morocco for the first time together in 1966, the two continued to return to the country a few times a year, later leading to multiple home purchases and most recently the 2017 opening of the musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech.

Shadow play on one of the four de Sede DS-1025 ‘Terrazza’ sofas in the showroom space of Justin Reed.

Originally designed by Ubald Klug & Ueli in 1972, the sofa is made up of seven leather-wrapped cushions stacked one on top of the other over a rectangular base, creating the ever recognizable furniture landscape element.

The Guelta d’Archei lake, found in a narrow valley of the Saharan desert in North-Eastern Chad, is filled with shallow fresh water and serves as a watering hole for hundreds of camels.

However surreal the sight, this valley is no place to linger. A small population of Nile crocodiles that date all the way back 5000 years to the age of the “Green Sahara” have managed to survive in the region.
