Family, friends, I realise I haven't posted on this page in a while but I still want to take a second for those following cause i've noticed some activity still and im grateful...

I have taken a liking to sewing, and painting a lot lately, I've turned into an artist of many hobbies and my craft room/dining room ๐Ÿคฃ shows! I am enjoying this endeavor of making regalia for our youth, it's not something I choose to post publicly because my pride alone comes from seeing a smile on the receiver's face. It started with ribbon skirts and turned into something more personal ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Since making this page I also did a residency at totest aleng, with one of my biggest projects being a shared bentwood box that went into the Bill reid gallery and what an honour it was.

My hands are full with many projects all the time, it doesn't really end, not a lot of customs lately, just improving and practicing on my own time and hopefully soon I can share some of that with you all. Again, just want to say thank you for the support ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ

Breath of fresh air having these all packed up for table tomorrow, still another pair on the go I can probably finish tomorrow, fingers crossed. I've never felt this much rush getting product out, but feeling inspired to represent semiahmoo during our sea festival weekend. My first pair of resin earrings btw! Was lucky to find beehive on the ground the same day, felt blessed.

Little pop up in Crescent Beach, along with other semiahmoo member's beautiful art. This came as a bit of a suprise opportunity to me, really kicked up the creativity again! knowing how little I had to display and how long its been. Keep your eyes peeled for more Qel Qel creations in the near future.

Currently working on a pink beaded hat, with silver, blue, white beads - hopefully available mid August.

I just realized I had never shared this gem of a piece I had made for a special guy! Craig aka KornyKraig . I met Craig back in 2011, he did my first tattoo, and I've continued to go back to him for more because he's always met me with a smile on his face, with quality, with beautiful art and good conversations.When I had even considered something as big, important as my traditional tattoos I knew in my heart who I wanted to go to, I just had to be patient. When Craig got back to me- he booked none other than! My late dads birthday! It felt like everything had fallen into place. As he was doing something so special for me, I really wanted him to understand how much it meant to me, I wanted to gift him and this is what I made - a personal, copy of his K.K "Korny Kraig" logo with neutral colours that I felt suited his style, and evil eye beads for his protection. I had never done anything this complex in shape yet, and so quickly, but when I had finished I was pleasantly surprised! The smile on his face and the big hug totally reassured me it went to the right place as well.

My beautiful mamma bear ๐Ÿป

My mom was just a little girl when she had to witness and experience, the traumas of kuper Island residential school but she has taken away an endearing amount of strength and embedded it into me and my siblings. Forever grateful for her.

Today I surprised her with these orange shirt earrings that I made ๐Ÿงก
