Tents up in Hantsport today with Avon Community Farmers’ Market | Windsor, Nova Scotia 🫜 from 110am-1pm! We are done our regular outdoor market series, so this is a special roadtrip for us! Though we aren’t going far, it’s still going to be a lot of fun. Join us in the beautiful community of Hantsport NS today! We will be just over the bridge and in the field 🥰 I’ve got some new wristlets made up for the occasion! Same price— $10 each

Thank you to Red Oaks Tree Removal, Doppelganger Tattoo Studio, Windsor Township Business Association, and to everyone who came out to take part in today’s community cleanup! It was a fantastic day, with the weather cooperating fully. Fun finds for me included a beaded kids toy that’s similar to something I had as a child, and the head from an action figure (later identified as Emperor Zurg from the Toy Story franchise). Bonus was winning a $50 gift card from a downtown business of my choosing and an apple tree! Thank you again for everyone who took the time to do some cleaning up outside today 🥰 Happy National Forest Week, everyone! 🌱🌲

Tomorrow’s Avon Community Farmers' Market will be inside at the Windsor Community Centre! 10am-1pm, with Karaoke returning! I’m working on some new hangers this evening, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again! 🥰

I’ll be returning to Avon Community Farmers' Market this morning! Also joining the market will be the Mobile Health Unit, which is really fantastic news for our community. If you are in need of any vaccinations, they can do this today on site! They will also have narcan kits, testing strips, and all sorts of great information with them 😊

I’m looking forward to returning to the Chester Community Market tomorrow! 10am-2pm at the Chester Area Middle School. It’s going to be a rainy day, so it will be a good day to come inside and support local! 😀

It’s been an eventful week for me, so I’ve been thankful that the forecast has been consistently calling for rain for tomorrow. While it is still uncertain if we will hold another market before the summer officially ends, I wanted to share this lovely article that was written about the Artists Alley Market and why I wanted such a market to exist. If you don’t want to read the article, the takeaway is that AI really is alienating us further, and this market was created as a way to embrace human creation and connection while lingering a little longer in the downtown Windsor area. What I would like to point out is that endeavours like this wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the humans behind them, pushing for these needed connections. A big thanks needs to go to Events that Linger for being an inspiration to push for these connections and help bring people together in a meaningful way. And a huge thank you to Windsor Township Business Association for partnering up and providing us with music, and to Windsor Makers Studio for the continuous encouragement. ❤️
