This weekend at Fall Fest, hike up or take the scenic chairlift, drop a pumpkin to support the Canadian Ski Patrol, and stop by Steve, who’s been keeping a few b**rs cold for you. 🍺

Grab your b**r ticket at the top of Glades or at the bar at the bottom.

Remember Steve, the snow pile? ❄️

Back in May, we tucked away a massive pile of snow under insulating covers to see if we could keep it through the summer.

It’s something that had never been done in Atlantic Canada, so this year was about proving one thing: can snow storage actually work here in our challenging climate?

After 144 days - and making it through the toughest months of the year - we finally have the numbers.

So, how did Steve do? 👀

What a beautiful weekend it was for Fall Fest: Kids Weekend!
Pumpkins were absolutely everywhere - even flying from the chairlift! 🎃

Thanks to everyone who came out and spent the weekend with us!

We’ve been getting messages about Steve the Snow Pile… ❄️

Well, Steve is still alive! He officially survived the toughest months of the year!

Now, is doing their evaluation and collecting data to see exactly how much snow made it through the summer.

Things You Find During Construction: Martock Finds 🎿

An old Elan rental ski from Martock, found buried in the woods - a little piece of the mountain’s past showing up while we’re busy building its future.

And there’s something pretty interesting about this one: the Look Integral bindings had the same boot sole length, regardless of shoe size - a clever setup for a rental fleet.

It’s definitely seen a few winters… and apparently spent a few more in the forest.
