I finally had to shut down my Etsy shop to US buyers due to the new section 338 tariffs. A handmade product made of wood (from Canada or the US) will incur a 50% minimum tariff to my US customers when shipped from Canada. 70% of my business, gone in a blink.
That being said, I am greatful more than ever to my Canadian customers, especially for the support of my new retail partners. Check in with your favourite local businesses. Make sure they're okay. Patronize them as best you can -- if not with a purchase, then with a reshare, a recommendation, or just a 'like' or comment to feed the algorithm.
