Famous Nonna Eats… Mexico City Edition 🇲🇽

The famous black quesadillas you can’t find on Google Maps… No address, No sign, just one Nonna’s recipe and the same street corner everyday. All the while her Nonna handles the finances behind the scenes 😂

$100 (Canadian) for a pork chop at arguably the number one restaurant in LA… While Nonna would normally lose it at this, we’d 100% do it again 🤷🏼‍♂️

Dunsmoor is one of the hardest reservations in LA right now and after last night I completely get why. The pork and chilli stew was the most nostalgic dish I’ve had in years, the kind of thing that makes you feel like somebody’s grandmother made it specifically for you. The cornbread soaked in hot honey and butter was the best I’ve had. And the $70 pork chop might have been the single best dish of the entire trip.

Italian Nonna meets Nonna from India 🇮🇹🇮🇳

This Nonna from India left a career as a business professor to open the most reviewed, Michelin restaurant in all of LA… and she personally visits every single table to make sure you feel it.

We FaceTimed Nonna back home and turns out these two cultures aren’t so different. Two grandmothers from completely different worlds who both built their lives around feeding the people they love and both love “tocio” — dunking bread in sauce. Some things are universal.

Apparently Nonna is the only one allowed to say Pho the right way… I got shut every time i said it.

The Easter egg you never saw coming 🥚 Every Easter without fail… Nonna’s veal cottolette.

My favourite holiday growing up was always Easter and this was why… She’s been making this since before I was born and not a single thing about it has ever changed. Including her reaction every time I mispronounce Cuttulette 😂 Does your family put an egg on theirs?

not only with the olive oil you can use to fry… but with a mayo made with 100% fresh olive oil… Now that’s a mayo me and Nonna mess with.
