BUG #9 — DAMSELFLY 💙

The ninth little bug in my 10-piece watercolor collection! ✨

I love how delicate and almost fairy-like damselflies are, with their long bodies and tiny wings. Another little creature painted by hand and added to the collection. 🤍

✨ Bug Collection | 6 of 10 🕷️

More than halfway. 🤎

Today’s addition to the collection is the jumping spider—a tiny creature with big curiosity and even bigger personality.

Unlike most spiders, jumping spiders don’t rely on webs to catch their prey. They patiently observe, carefully plan, and then make an incredible leap with surprising precision. Sometimes the best way forward isn’t rushing… it’s waiting for the right moment.

Six bugs down, four to go. This little collection is slowly coming together, and I love watching each new painting add its own personality to the frame.

Halfway there. 💛🖤

Today’s addition to the collection is the monarch butterfly—a tiny reminder that some of the most incredible transformations happen quietly, one step at a time.

Monarchs travel thousands of kilometres during their migration, proving that even the smallest wings can carry you farther than you ever imagined.

Five bugs down, five to go. I can’t wait to see this little frame come to life as each new painting finds its place.

Fourth in the collection… the dragonfly.

Did you know that many people believe it’s good luck when a dragonfly lands on you? They’re often seen as symbols of change, hope, and new beginnings—which makes this tiny visitor feel a little extra special.

Just 6 bugs left before this collection is complete. I can’t wait to see them all come together in the finished frame.

Bug number two has officially joined the collection—a honey bee. 💛

One thing I love about painting insects is how much beauty you discover when you slow down. Tiny details, soft textures, and colours you don’t always notice at first glance.

There are still 8 empty spaces waiting to be filled, and I can’t wait to watch this collection come together one watercolor at a time.

I’m starting a brand new watercolor series—10 tiny bugs, one painting at a time.

First up: the ladybug. ❤️🐞
