What a crazy process… we waited so long for the fun parts to finally start taking shape, and now it’s all being crammed into 1.5 months. Stressful is truly an understatement.

All of the cabinets, fixtures, paint, lighting and finishes are being completed as we speak, and we’re racing to have everything done before our temporary home contract is up. The timing has added a whole extra layer of pressure.

This past month has honestly been the most stressful since the fire happened. Rebuilding isn’t just about selecting finishes and making design decisions — it’s navigating contractor timelines, emotions, expectations and uncertainty all at once.

I have SO much to share about this process — the good, the bad and the ugly. Stay tuned!

This main floor transformation is officially complete, and it’s been a rewarding project from start to finish. From curating the colour palette to selecting finishes and lighting, every detail was chosen with intention to create a space that feels bright, organic, neutral, and timeless.

It was a pleasure working with clients who trusted the process and shared a clear vision — collaboration like that always leads to the best results. Helping homeowners align their design goals with their real estate plans is exactly where strategy and creativity come together, and it’s work I genuinely enjoy.

After eight long months, our permits are officially approved—and this rebuild is finally moving forward 🏡✨

A 100-year-old home comes with its fair share of surprises, but we’re through the toughest part. Insulation and electrical are going in now, and soon everything will start to take shape. Most of our finishes are selected, each one chosen with intention, meaning, and a whole lot of heart. I can’t wait to share more with you.

This process has stretched us in every way. And even though I’m grateful for the opportunity to create something beautiful, I’ll never forget why we’re here. I still think back to that January morning that changed everything and reminded me how fragile the “everyday” can be.

So here’s your gentle nudge today: don’t take the simple things for granted. Embrace what’s right in front of you, even the imperfect parts.

I’m endlessly thankful for Daniel, my family, and our friends for lifting us up through every step of this journey. The hardest chapters have a way of showing us what truly matters and who shows up when it counts most. 🤍

Main floor transformation in progress! We’re officially prepped and primed for the new materials to roll in. A renovation like this comes with plenty of moving parts, but having the right contractor and designer team makes all the difference in keeping things seamless.
