I’m just over here in my ✨River Heights Era✨

I hadn’t even finished cutting out my two-colour version of this quilt when I decided that I probably also needed to make a fat quarter version with some of my favourites from the Bird is the Word collection by . So I decided to work on both at the same time, because why not?

You may just find yourself fighting with the wind on a full day photoshoot adventure. Whoops! (Don’t worry, fancy coffee and yummy lunch were provided as compensation.)

I really loved the colours used in one of the Paint Lake samples on her blog, so I went ahead and ordered a whole pile of quarter yard cuts for this tiny project. Which was slightly overkill. 😅 The great news is I had enough leftover to make a matching baby and a throw-size version with the leftovers!

This is officially an bag pattern appreciation post. 🤩

I promised my friend an for her birthday (almost a year ago but we’re not going to talk about that 😅) and decided to make myself a matching at the same time.

I’d been using my own Emerson Crossbody almost daily since making it for QuiltCon last year, but the Crescentwood has quickly taken over as my go to.

The third and final project I made with the new Genesis of a Journey line by is this adorable little ruffled heart pouch. I used a free tutorial from and ended up using this fun coordinating ribbon instead of fabric for my ruffle.
