His hand made, original pieces have been featured in print, television and music videos furthering his reach and expanding his client base globally. Jonathan, born and raised in Winnipeg and having a passion for mid-century design and architecture, found his niche by combining his interest of artistic expression through the medium of functional product design. A marriage of the two seems to be what Sebastian Excels with. He follows an approach to design that is fresh, organic and pragmatic, designing furniture and items that are beautiful and that serves a practical purpose. It has been said that Sebastian is “picking up where Eames left off,” by creating new products with the same ideals in mind: Interesting design, functional materials and pieces that tell a story of individuality that pay tribute to an unforgettable era.
