What a day! Spent part of the afternoon foraging. Yup. Right in the middle of Winnipeg. The sun shone bright. The trembling aspens were playong in the wind and the migrating birds were out.
Got a few things today.
Mostly phragmites, wormwood and catttails with a few current bush branches.
It was a good day. ☺️

Let's talk Anthuriums. The bright red heart shaped flowers with a very prominant ...hehemm, spadex. 😲 These are a total luxury flower, but it sure is Wow statement in a bouquet.
Red is the most familiar colour. Did you know they come in white, greens, pinks and chocalate cherry colours too?
If these are your thing, plan ahead. They are a specialty order flower.

Bright, vibrant and long lasting. Everything you want in a man... I mean a flower.😉😇 Ginger flowers are often brought in for the Christmas holidays. They are a favourite hostess gift and work well with the evergreens. Contrary to it's name, it does not have a scent like ginger. Another statement flower best to plan and pre-order.

Here it is! I chose design #2. This is the design I have entered into the contest.
For those of you wondering what everything is in this hand tied bouquet, here you go!
This hand tied bouquet is created with a small wire armature.
