These chewy cylinders of goodness took me a solid year to get the technique down, but am I ever glad I did. Korean rice cakes are something I've come to absolutely love over the last few years. Similar to Italian gnocchi in a way, but with a much more satisfying chew. They're an easy way to jazz up a stir fry, stew or soup. But no recipe is more iconic or recognized than Tteok-bokki.
