Happy Anniversary, Dominican Flavours!
One year ago, I took a leap of faith and officially launched Dominican Flavours.
But this story actually began eight years ago. When my family and I arrived in Canada, I couldn’t find the flavours that reminded me of home. So, I started creating my own seasonings, just for my family.
Last year, at 2:30 a.m., I woke up with a thought on my mind: share the seasonings I’ve been making for years with others.
I sat on my couch, put all my ideas on paper, and started dreaming. Today, that middle-of-the-night idea has grown into what Dominican Flavours is now.
I started with our Seasoning Base, followed by our Seasoning Salt, created so that anyone could make delicious meals without needing to add anything else.
A few months later came Golden Rice Blend, then Island Blend Meat Rub, and most recently, Garden Herbs Seasoning.
Today, as I look back at our very first Dollarama containers, our first labels, and our original logo, I can’t help but smile. We’ve grown so much, but our purpose has never changed.
Every seasoning is still handcrafted with the same love and the same commitment, bringing authentic flavour to your table without artificial colours or preservatives.
Thank you to everyone who has visited us at a market, placed an order, recommended us to a friend, or simply believed in this dream.
This first year has been filled with hard work, challenges, learning, and countless blessings. I can’t wait to see what the years ahead will bring.
