⭐️ Quick fun knit: Fleece Artist & Handmaiden Fine Yarns Favourite Soft Mitts and Headband ⭐️

Even though we’re (hopefully) not wearing mitts and headbands for a few months, they make great summer knits. They’re portable, quick, and look great in everything from bright, happy colours to subtle, classic shades.🌈

Each kit comes with a skein of BFL DK (100% Blue Faced Leicester Wool), a skein of Whisker (50% kid mohair, 38% wool, and 12% nylon), and the pattern 😊.

A floppy brimmed sun hat in happy colours screams summer eh? Andrea used a fun variegated cotton yarn from her stash and had it done in about a week 😊. It starts at the top of the head (the opposite of most knitted hats) and finishes around the edge of the brim with a cute picot bind off that gives the final product tons of personality 😊.

Congrats Andrea! It’s so happy! 🥰🥳🥳🥳

These needles look a little different than most- they’re square! Many find that this design easier to work with and more ergonomic, especially those with arthritis.

They’re also come in 4 different colours (red, blue, gold, and grey) and have inch markers along their length, making it easy to do a quick measurement of your project without having to get out your notions kit!

We have sizes from 2.25 mm to 4 mm👍

😎 Sarah’s been crocheting clothing and Amigurumi lately and her skills are impressive! 😎

She showed up at last week’s Knit Night wearing the cutest summery sweater in a happy shade of blue- perfect for when it’s warm-ish but there’s still a little breeze in the air. The pattern is called Nusa Mesh Net Crochet Sweater by Kiks + Jack Crochet 👍.

She also showed us photos of the little fox she made out of SandnesGarn Peer Gynt for her sister and look how perfect it is!!! 🥰🥰🥰. Lucky sister eh? 😊. If you’d like one too, the pattern is called Rita Fox by Pica Pau 👍.

Sheepskin baby slippers are a favourite around here and this pair was made with Fleece Artist & Handmaiden Fine Yarns Backcountry 😊.

Backcountry is a super soft, 100% merino wool, Aran weight yarn that’s dyed just down the road in Halifax 👍.

The sheepskin slipper soles are available in sizes for the whole family at the shop and come with a free pattern that combines knit and crochet 😊.
