The Chipped Maus - Painted Furniture & Home Decor

The Chipped Maus - Painted Furniture & Home Decor At The Chipped Maus, we love giving new life to old pieces so they can be reincorporated into your more modern decor. We love mixing the old with the new!

Hi, I’m Astrid and I repaint, refinish and repurpose flea market finds to blend the old with new contemporary style. When my husband and I bought our first house in 2001, we were broke! We had a house half full of hand-me-down furniture and bought what we could at auctions and garage sales. What I didn’t realize at first was that even though these pieces didn’t look in-style, they were still good

solid pieces of furniture. A light bulb moment and I decided to paint my first dresser and was amazed at the difference a fresh coat of paint could make. I was hooked! Fast forward to present day (and two teenage kids later) my DIY hobby and the love of reinventing pieces to mix with newer home decor styles has become my business! You can see all my thrifty find makeovers at my booth at One of A Kind Antique Mall located at 97 Wilson Street, Woodstock, ON. Open everyday, except Statutory Holidays, from 10 am to 5 pm.
