As I am working on building my strength, my endurance and my stamina…I threw a 6” piece of clay and made a bowl bigger than my head…haven’t done this for over a year!

A little colour. A little creativity. A whole lot of connection. ❤️

One of my favourite features in the School House Studio is this long table made from 2-inch coloured squares, all sealed beneath resin.

So many individual squares, colours and patterns coming together to create something beautiful.

Kind of like Claycation!

Everyone arrives with their own story, their own personality and their own ideas. We gather, laugh, learn, create and leave with something uniquely our own.

And you don’t have to be an artist to belong here!

I’m curious…if you had an entire weekend to be creative, what would you most want to try — pottery on the wheel, handbuilding, or a little of everything?

Tell me in the comments!

Our November 27–29 Claycation has room for a few more creative souls. Come on your own or bring someone along!

Explore upcoming Claycation dates on the Freba Pottery website.

Connection through Creativity. ❤️

Within the past six months so much has been happening at Freba Pottery!

May: New video footage The Lost Girl's Guide to Finding the World Creative Saskatchewan

June: designated an Economusee Cecs Sk

July/August/September/October: recovering at Kinetic and getting stronger in the studio

As we are moving into Thanksgiving I have so many things I’m grateful for as listed above. But on a deeper level the video project with Ashlyn George was made possible with thanks to Creative Saskatchewan and Economusee Network.

I am grateful to all of you have been following my journey and I’m so excited that this video gives you a glimpse into my process!

So what exactly happens at an Elemental Claycation?

You arrive Friday evening and settle into the 1919 heritage house.

Then we spend the weekend creating — handbuilding, working at the wheel, eating good food, laughing, slowing down and seeing what happens when you give yourself permission to simply make.

You don’t have to be artistic.
You don’t have to know how to use a pottery wheel.
That’s my job.

I have space for a few more guests November 27–29.

If you’re wondering whether Claycation would be right for you, send me a message and ask me anything. And if November doesn’t work, you’ll find other upcoming dates on my website.

What if you put November 27–29 on the calendar and just went?

A weekend in rural Saskatchewan. Good food. A beautiful old house. Lots of clay. Time at the wheel. Laughter. Creating. And time with people you don’t get nearly enough time with.

I already have one guest joining me for the November 27–29 Elemental Claycation, and I would love to welcome a few more.

You don’t need pottery experience. You just need to come ready to play, create and spend a weekend doing something completely different.

Who would you bring?

Send this to them — and if November 27–29 has you curious check out my profile for the website. Other upcoming dates are also on the Freba Pottery website. www.frebapottery.com

Today feels like a big day. ❤️

I woke up in my Saskatoon hotel this morning knowing I was heading to Kinetic for my last four-hour day of tertiary care.

For 10 weeks, this has been my routine — travelling to Saskatoon, doing the work, getting stronger, learning about my body and rebuilding after my accident.

And then I came home.

I walked into my little Highway Store and saw my pottery sitting on the shelves — things I have made with these hands throughout all of this.

That felt pretty significant.

Tertiary care is finished, but recovery isn’t. Now I move into my October return-to-work program, continuing to build my strength and learning what sustainable work looks like for me.

Today, though, I’m celebrating this transition.

Ten weeks of rebuilding me. And now, back home to keep building Freba. ❤️

Connection through Creativity.

What if you just came here for the weekend?

Drove down a Saskatchewan highway, left regular life behind for a couple of days, and came to Freba.

You’d sleep in our big old prairie house.
Wake up looking out over the trees and fields.
There would be good food and snacks waiting.
You’d wander over to the School House Studio.
Get your hands muddy.
Make things you didn’t know you could make.
Laugh. Probably a lot.

And somewhere between the clay, the food, the conversations and the quiet prairie moments, you’d have time to connect.

With the people you came with.
With your own creativity.
And maybe a little bit with yourself.

That’s really what Elemental Claycation has become.

Yes, I teach you pottery. But you don’t need to be an artist. You don’t need any experience. And you definitely don’t need to be “creative enough.”

You just need to come.

I’ll take care of the rest.

I’ve welcomed so many wonderful people through these doors, and I still get excited every single time I see someone sit down at the wheel and realize:

“Wait. I can actually do this.”

So grab your sister. Your mom. Your daughters. Your best friends. Your people.

Come spend a weekend with me on the Saskatchewan prairie.

Come for the clay. Stay for the connection.

Fall/Winter Elemental Claycation dates are now booking.
Small groups. Maximum 6 people.
$1,444 + tax/person.
