A little slice of sunshine 🍋
I had so much fun bringing this lemon pattern to life for the Golden Coil challenge. From the first watercolor sketches on my terrace (with a curious little studio assistant 🐾) to seeing it placed on a notebook… this one feels extra special.

I wanted to capture that fresh, summery feeling bright yellows, soft greens, and a touch of Mediterranean calm.

What do you think—would you use this notebook?

Hello February

This month always brings me back to the Swiss mountains where I grew up.

Long winters, wide landscapes, quiet ski days and small moments that stay with you. watching the light change on the peaks, the sound of snow under your feet, the feeling of home in a place shaped by nature.

While working on this illustration, I found myself thinking about those mountain days. Not the big moments, but the in-between ones: chairlift rides, tiny figures moving through the snow, the calm that comes with being surrounded by peaks.

This scene is inspired by one specific mountain that means a lot to me.

Can you guess which Swiss mountain this is?

The first signs of spring in my garden.
Every year, they surprise me.

When the garden still feels quiet and winter isn’t quite ready to leave, these small snowdrops appear delicate, patient, and strong in their own way.

I love observing them closely, sketching them, painting them.
They remind me that change often starts softly, almost unnoticed.

These early moments in nature inspire much of my illustration work. slowing down, paying attention, and letting small details lead the way.

• observing nature as creative practice
• botanical inspiration straight from the garden
• watercolor sketches as a way of slowing down
• finding beauty in quiet seasonal changes

What’s the first sign of spring where you live?
I’d love to read it in the comments.

This phone case started as a quiet watercolor moment at my desk.

I was thinking about winter days in the Swiss Alps slow chairlift rides, tiny skiers moving through wide landscapes, the calm that comes with cold air and space to breathe.

I painted this scene by hand, then turned it into a seamless pattern so it could live beyond paper not as a loud design, but as a gentle reminder of mountain days, movement and stillness.

A little Swiss alpine vibe for your phone calm, playful and timeless.

From sketch to watercolor.

I always start with a pencil study and then very light layers and slowly build depth.
Keeping the process calm helps the final illustration feel balanced.

Which step do you enjoy most?

Work in progress

I’m building this illustration slowly, layer by layer.

This quiet phase is one of my favorite parts of the process.

Save this if you enjoy slow, thoughtful art.

A quiet Sunday moment in the studio.

Slowing down helps me reconnect with why I create in the first place.

How are you spending your Sunday?
