A villa that instantly stands out. Perched on a spectacular hillside in Ticino, it presents a bold and refined architectural presence. The result is a home immersed in breathtaking views over Lake Lugano.

A key highlight: the air-lux sliding windows slanted five degrees outward, paired with switchable SageGlass. This required absolute precision, along with a challenging hillside location that even called for helicopter transport of individual facade elements.

We’re proud to have contributed to the renovation of a magnificent 18th-century Rococo villa in Geneva – a project that required elegance, precision, and technical excellence.

Our air-lux pivot door, installed as the new main entrance, was a big part of the transformation. This custom solution seamlessly merges the villa’s historical charm with modern performance and airtightness.

A rectangular box made of steel and glass juts out like a footbridge into the Berounka river valley near Prague. The villa, designed by Stempel & Tesař Architekti, features four frameless sliding windows from air-lux. They measure an enormous 4 x 3 meters and create a smooth transition from the living room to the terrace.

In 1964, Gebhard Krapf founded Krapf AG with just two employees. Thirty years later, Heinz Sauter took the reins, and in 1999, the company moved to its new headquarters in Engelburg, St. Gallen. By 2000, Krapf AG had grown to 30 employees.

Then, in 2004, we introduced the groundbreaking 𝗮𝗶𝗿-𝗹𝘂𝘅 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗮ç𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. With floor-to-ceiling sliding windows of up to 18 m² and a revolutionary patented sealing concept, air-lux made waves far beyond the Appenzell region.

Today, we celebrate 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of air-lux – 20 years of pushing boundaries in design, innovation, and craftsmanship.

We are proud to present our latest reference object in Prague! An impressive sliding window, 6 meters wide and 3 meters high, forms the center of a total 18-meter-long window front. The spectacular view of the Vltava River and the surrounding hills is another highlight. 🤩
