Our Highlights from the EILO Excursion in Berlin! 🌿✨
What happens when over 100 interior landscaping experts from more than 15 countries gather in one place? Powerful connections, fresh perspectives, and a shared vision for the future of green spaces.
EILO - European Interior Landscaping Organisation brings together professionals from across Europe to promote knowledge sharing and shape the future of green interior architecture. Last weekend, the annual EILO excursion took us to Berlin—a city transformed since the fall of the Wall in 1989 into a booming hub for biophilic creativity and innovation.
Key takeaways & highlights:
🌱 Boundary-Pushing Environments: From Potsdamer Platz and the stunning living wall at the Dussmann bookstore to sunlit office atriums, co-working spaces, and concept stores—we visited projects that place nature and design firmly at the forefront.
🌳 Living Tree Panel: A standout moment was the panel discussion on the "Living Tree Project" by Element Green GmbH Das Netzwerk für Raumbegrünung . Special thanks to Judith Baehner from the EILO Board for her fantastic moderation!
🌿 Green Insights: We had the privilege of exploring 6 projects around Berlin. The expert presentations and guided tours were deeply insightful, educational, and inspiring.
A huge thank you to Johannes Meyer-Dohm from P2 Objekt Grün and the Bundesverband Gebäudegrün e. V. - BuGG —specifically Susanne, Amelie, and Heiner—for their support in organising these tours.
Thank you! 🙏
Another big thank you goes out to the entire EILO Board for putting together such a successful event,
William Braid, Balbina Gryczynska, Susana Rodriguez Lorente,
Magnus Törnqvist, Gerrit Roessink, Pierre Darmet and Miina Pruuli
and to the 100+ attendees from over 15 countries who made this
weekend truly unforgettable. We return to Switzerland inspired and ready to bring new ideas to Creaplant and the Swiss interior landscaping market!🌿
