From Porto to Barcelona, kindkitchen.bcn brings the flavours of the market directly to the table and into the space.

A 100% plant-based restaurant inspired by the colours, textures and everyday gestures of the market. The interior translates this energy into a warm and playful environment, where food and space become part of the same experience.

A place where the market is not only the starting point for the menu, but also becomes part of the architecture.

One week away from the opening of Kind Kitchen

These illustrations were developed to present the project to the client, helping communicate the atmosphere, materiality and character of the future space.

A project developed in collaboration with Ansón + Bonet that has evolved remarkably close to the vision captured in these first drawings.

We’re incredibly happy with the outcome and excited to see it come to life.

ASA.025_JEF HOUSE

One of the key decisions in this renovation was the introduction of a bespoke kitchen, conceived as the heart of the home and as a counterpoint to the traditional character of the existing architecture.

Set beneath the original arches and timber beams, the kitchen brings a contemporary and urban sensibility to the space through its stainless steel volumes, open shelving and restrained material palette.

More than a place to cook, it became a way of redefining how the house is lived in. Open, functional and connected to everyday life, it reflects the original ambition of the project: bringing the energy of city living into a countryside setting.

ASA.025_JEF HOUSE

For the guest bathroom at JEF House, our Palangana washbasin was developed in a custom terracotta finish, conceived as a natural extension of the space rather than a standalone object.

Located in Castellterçol, JEF House is the renovation of a traditional Catalan dwelling, developed together with lagranja design for a young couple - and - who left Barcelona in search of a slower pace of life, while maintaining a strong connection to the urban sensibility that shaped their way of living.

Reflecting the material language of the house, its soft monolithic form and warm materiality echo the balance between traditional architecture and contemporary living. Rather than creating contrast, the basin was designed to sit quietly within the space, blurring the boundaries between architecture, function and atmosphere.

Produced together with Sira Concrete, collaborators since the early days of ASA. More than five years after creating our first product together, our collaboration continues through catalogue development, bespoke commissions and a shared exploration of materials, craftsmanship and design.

ASA.039 BAR PROPOSAL

A design proposal for a bar in Barcelona.

At A Space About, every project begins with a concept, a starting point to build a clear narrative and give meaning to every decision.

This proposal draws from both the everyday and the classical. From the simplicity of food, eggs, oil, texture, to the ritual of gathering around a table.

These references become a spatial language of soft geometries, repeated circular forms and warm tones. Light creates atmosphere, while the bar acts as the central element, organizing and connecting the space.

Each gesture responds to an idea, but also to an intuition. Because design is not only about function, it is about storytelling.

In the end, we are made of stories.
And this could have been one worth telling.
