🎬 The biggest challenge wasn't adding light—it was finding where to put it.

For Pinocchio Unstrung, the crew mounted 4× PavoTube II 30XRs beneath the water in waterproof housings, dialed to a cool blue tone that gave the pool an eerie, unsettling atmosphere. Outside the Evoke 1200B created a motivated daylights💡

Thanks to for sharing! In this lighting array setup, the successfully overcame the team’s concerns about LED lights‘ tendency to lose power over long distances. Even at approximately 40 meters, 26 Evoke 2400Bs provided strong brightness. 💡

Behind the scenes: how to shape rainy moonlight in a forest scene. 🌲

Sam Wordsworth and his talented crew share a simple, clean, and repeatable approach to creating the moonlight they needed: an with the PJ-NLM-15-30 projection attachment, combined with a LightBridge reflector mounted in the trees.

A simple set with a huge impact.

By bouncing the light instead of hitting the talent directly, they were able to:
• Maintain the directional quality of moonlight while keeping it natural
• Create smoother transitions between highlights and shadows
• Achieve precise control over exposure and the overall mood

This is the art of lighting the environment first, allowing the surroundings to support the actor, and using light to write the story before the character even appears.

This soft study scene in Pinocchio Unstrung wasn’t just about letting the sunlight do the work.

To create the manor’s gentle window glow, the team positioned the Evoke 1200B and Nanlite Forza 720B outside the windows, using them as a controlled daylight source to recreate the feeling of natural sunlight pouring into the room.
