Sol Antic

Sol Antic Sol Antic means "ancient sun" in Catalan. It's a tribute to the old past solar cults. Those cultures were the first to work metals like copper, bronze and brass.

I am a wire artisan specialized in ancient techniques for modern handmade jewels.

Two beautiful bracelets for two wonderful clients from León, Nicaragua. These *Sun Bracelets*, crafted in brass with the "Square Flower" technique for the band and the "Sun" technique for the stone, found a home with two lovely friends.

One of them is the owner of **Hostel Rabagu**, where I stayed for a few weeks and felt right at home. She gifted the other bracelet to her best friend—a beautiful gesture that perfectly reflects the warmth and generosity I experienced in León.

Right now, I’m writing from **El Tunco Beach**, El Salvador, where I’m surrounded by the kindness and hospitality of its people. If you’re considering a visit, I highly recommend it! El Salvador is now very safe, and its beaches and vibrant energy will leave you amazed.

Let me know in the comments—do you love these bracelets as much as I do?

A month ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful town of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. During my stay, I met Silvia and Rubén, the wonderful owners of **Origen, Gallery & Coffee Shop** (**.nica**). Their warmth and kindness made my time there truly unforgettable.

Silvia fell in love with two of my pieces: a *Sun Earring* with obsidian and a *bridal glove* crafted in brass using the "Flower of Life" technique, both of which are now part of her collection. Seeing my creations find a home with such special people is one of the joys of this journey.

If you ever find yourself in San Juan del Sur, I can’t recommend a visit to **Origen** enough. It’s a place full of art, delicious coffee, and inspiring energy, just steps away from the stunning beach views that make this town so magical.

This necklace, featuring a *golden obsidian* at its center, is crafted using the "Square Flower" wire-wrapping technique. I created this piece a few months ago in Cahuita, Costa Rica, a place that continues to inspire my art.

If this necklace speaks to you, it’s waiting for you at **Casa Mandala** in Limón Province, near Puerto Viejo. Visit their Instagram at **.costarica** to learn more about this and other treasures they have in store.

Each piece I create carries a story, and I’m thrilled to see this one find its home with someone who will cherish its uniqueness.

A few months ago, I created and sold this stunning statement necklace, crafted with brass wire and a beautiful *goldstone* (also known as “rain of stars”). This piece is a true showstopper, combining elegance and creativity with the "Square Flower" wire-wrapping technique.

If you’d like to learn how to make something similar, I’ve got you covered! You can find a free tutorial on my Patreon (link in bio) or watch it on my YouTube channel: ****. Explore the art of wire wrapping and bring your own designs to life!

This necklace was a joy to create, and sharing it with you now reminds me of why I love this craft so much. Let me know what you think about it in the comments!

Taking a Pause

Hey Sol Antic family,

I wanted to take a moment to share something important with you.

For the past few months, I've been feeling the weight of burnout, and it's been a challenging journey. Creating content and sharing my passion for jewelry making has brought immense joy to my life, but lately, I've found myself running on empty.

With the high season upon us and the demands of crafting and selling my jewelry taking precedence, I've come to the difficult decision to temporarily step back from creating tutorials and being active on social media. I owe it to myself to prioritize self-care and focus on the craft that I love.

Living a nomadic life without a fixed residence has its own set of unique challenges. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the necessary tools, like a computer or a quality camera, to continue producing the high-quality content you all deserve. This half of the year, my home is wherever my backpack takes me, and it's a different kind of adventure.

To my incredible patrons, I owe you a sincere apology. Your support means the world to me, and I appreciate your understanding during this time. I promise to come back with renewed energy and exciting new content once I'm settled and recharged.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your patience and support. You all have been the driving force behind this creative journey, and I can't thank you enough for being a part of the Sol Antic community.

Wishing you all a wonderful and creative season. I'll be back soon, ready to share more jewelry-making adventures with you.

Take care and much love,

Xor Dee
