Pavlos Antoniades and Christiana Markidou Antoniadou first encountered Baxter in Milano more than two decades ago and were enchanted by the vision of the Baxter Brand through the eyes of Luigi and Paolo Pestetti. At the time, Pavlos, an Architect, and Christiana, an Interior Designer, driven by their appreciation and love for design and the arts, were looking for a space where they could show and
promote objects they loved, a space where the concepts of experiencing paintings, sculpture, furniture, music, fashion, books, or unplanned get-togethers for a glass of wine, can coexist. Baxter, with its passion for quality materials, design experimentation with new materials and shapes, its never-stand-still attitude, and its ability to fuse all forms of art in its designs seemed to a perfect match. An old abandoned garage in the middle of the historical centre of Limassol. A 5-minute walk from the Limassol Marina, surrounded by small narrow streets with several little old shops that have ever since, been taken over more and more by artists, architects, interior designers, small workshops, bars, and restaurants. In this ideal setting, architect Andreas Eleftheriou, Pavlos Antoniades, and Kicco Bestetti from Baxter.IT, redesigned the old garage to create a space consisting of 600 square metres of showroom with a long garden on its side to facilitate their vision. A place where design, furniture, exhibitions, paintings, fashion, and music can coexist. A place where similar minded people can come together to experience, listen, observe, design, consume, discuss, have a drink, or simply relax. Since then, Baxter Garage has become a multi-faceted, ever-evolving centre for professionals and design-loving individuals from all over Cyprus as well as other countries.
