How better to embrace the lazy end of August than through the spirit of Matisse? This mosaic is my tribute to slow afternoons, warm light, and the beauty of everyday stillness. Inspired by Matisse’s bold colours and love pattern, I combined hand-cut glass and ceramic to create a moment that feels both vibrant and calm.

This beautiful frame was created by Adi during four mosaic sessions at my studio. I guided her through the process, but the vision was hers. We explored different materials, textures, colours and techniques- because I believe that mosaic shouldn’t always be about following a pattern or copying a finished example.My workshops are a space to create your own projects, experiment and find your own way of working mosaic.
