My Island of Calm and Safety
The alarm clock pulls me out of Morpheus’s sweet embrace. I get up, rush to the shower, put on makeup, prepare breakfast for the family, and run to catch the tram—late for work again.
At work, there’s the morning meeting, followed by an endless stream of chats where everyone urgently needs something from me. After work, I hurry home for a quick bite and then head to the gym to work off the stress and the calories.
Finally, exhausted, I open the door to my apartment—and I’m met with chaos again. It sparks a wave of negative emotions and the feeling that I have to gather my strength and keep coping.
Modern life is a constant chain of frustrations. When we return home, we need a place to exhale, reset, and calm our nervous system.
But if we come back to a home where chaos reigns—not because it’s dirty, but because it lacks a sense of completion, functional zoning, warmth, and a reflection of who you are—then it becomes difficult to truly claim that space as your own. It becomes hard to feel at home—safe, calm, and relaxed.
And the one place that should restore your energy and provide a sense of security turns into yet another source of tension.
That’s why I help organize spaces into functional zones, introduce the right accents to create warmth and comfort, and bring a sense of completeness to the interior—so it truly reflects your needs.
And then your home becomes a place of both physical and emotional renewal.
