A last summer painting as the leaves are turning and we welcome autumn after all here in Vienna. I find it already difficult to take a good photo of a morning glory just because of the vibrant colors... So difficult to capture. I hope I did it justice here.

Saturday my first solo exhibition opens in Leipzig at .malamute. This little colorful gem will be shown next to countless other plant portraits of the last seven years. I am so curious how it will feel to see everything together on the walls of several rooms. What an adventure! If you are around please come by and say hi. The art will be shown until mid December.

Finally getting around to sharing the final monkshood painting.
Swipe for details and a couple of impressions of the monkshood meadows on the top of the mountain Rax close to Vienna. They are really that vibrant.

The last little addition to my monkshood page is coming to an end. With this one I could keep adding elements it still doesn't feel quite as I want it to be but I think there is no point it needs to rest for a bit. Now I'll refine the stems and the flowers. Everything that could be smoother...

Hello from this little bee wishing you a happy weekend. I made serious progress on my monkshood. Now it's about smoothing details out. Going over everything observing and actually letting the reference be reference and asking myself what does the painting need to become the best it can be. I also think I'll need to add a bit more to balance the composition. But that's not a today task.

More from my monkshood Illustration. One part is almost done. The branch has this very intricate texture. Really interesting plant to paint.

Monkshood coming to life, one blossom at a time. Those deep violet-blue tones are really starting to capture the velvety texture of this beautifully toxic flower. Still work to do, but loving the progress so far. 🎨💜
