Maria Charkina was born 1999, Odesa, Ukraine. Lives in Kyiv.
Maria Charkina is a contemporary artist working in painting and installation. Her practice immerses viewers in a subtle field of psychological experience, exploring how inner trauma reshapes our perception of reality and imbues familiar objects with new, often unexpected meanings. Her visual language emerges at the intersection of personal sensitivity and analytical observation. Charkina works with themes such as fragmented memory, temporal distortion, and the shifting relationship between the body and its environment under the weight of lived experience. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Kyiv), and her style is marked by a muted palette, precise composition, and emotional depth. She often creates diptychs as visual dialogues between presence and absence, figuration and abstraction. Charkina has participated in group exhibitions in Kyiv, Lviv, Berlin, and Warsaw, and has presented solo projects in independent art spaces. She is a member of the “NOI” project at the Institute of Contemporary Art Studies.

The project explore themes of connection and mutual understanding—quiet gestures that unite us and become a source of support.

They capture moments drawn from a woman’s reality: states of elevation, calm, and the everyday life she inhabits. The compositions often feature two figures, suggesting either a dialogue or a turn inward.

A cool color palette dominates the paintings, emphasizing the stillness of ordinary moments.

Sisi (b. 1996, Ukraine) is a London-based artist who primarily lives and works in the United Kingdom, with regular creative residencies on Bornholm (Denmark) and in Budapest. She graduated from the University of Westminster in London.

She has always had a deep connection with color. As a synesthete, she experiences an intense sensory relationship between colors, music, letters, and people—each carrying its own distinct color nuance. This perception forms the foundation of her visual language.

Her painting practice intensified in response to the war in Ukraine, evolving from a purely creative activity into an essential process of healing and emotional processing. For her, art has become not only a space for expression but also a way to capture and understand personal and collective experiences. Creating is her way of communicating with the world.

Yuriy Koval born in 1979, in Lviv. He graduated from Lviv National Academy of Arts and finished Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Art named after Ivan
Trush. Yuriy is a participant of multiple group- ans solo exhibition projects internationally.
The artistic practice of Yuriy is undoubtedly anthropocentric. His hyper-realistic paintings
demonstrate his high level of skill. In his various series, Yuriy explores a range of themes
and motifs, from traditional portraits and self-portraits to still lifes, collages, and more. By collaging objects, the author creates a kind of theatrical entourage, dramatic and sometimes absurd, but one that reflects the paradox of the world and the variety of circumstances that a person faces throughout life.

Leonora Yanko, born in 1982 in Fergana, Uzbekistan, works in Kyiv. The artist works in the fields of
sculpture, painting, printmaking, and performance. Her artistic practice is characterized by
interdisciplinarity and focuses on the exploration of physicality, states of transformation, and the
interaction between humans and their environment. Her work reveals a particular attention to fragile,
mutable states that shape inner experiences and allow for their visual reflection. Some series are based
on research into the Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar cultural heritage, the decolonization of Ukrainian and
Crimean Tatar history, and the resilience of the Crimean Tatar people.
A key focus is her new series of ceramic sculptures, Flora sapiens, which examines physicality as an
open, living system in constant exchange with nature. In these works, the human body is understood as a
malleable, mutable form capable of self-regeneration and inner renewal. The series explores the resource
of different psycho-emotional states, viewing them as a source of strength rather than vulnerability.

Serhii Kondratiuk (1988, Ukraine). From 2005 to 2008, he studied at the Kharkiv Art School. In 2010, he entered the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, where he studied easel painting. Since 2009, he has been an active participant in national exhibitions across Ukraine. In 2013, he became a member of the Youth Union of Artists. He has participated in Ukrainian and international plein air events both in Ukraine and abroad.

In his artistic practice, Serhii focuses on themes of urban studies. By observing overlooked buildings that often go unnoticed due to their condition, style, or location within the urban environment, the artist seeks to capture and preserve them within the context of the contemporary chronotope.

Valeriia Osina (1996, Kerch, Ukraine)
In 2013, she enrolled in the Department of Theater and Stage Design at the Kharkiv Art School, and in 2017, she continued her studies at the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts in the Department of Monumental Painting. Her education has strongly influenced her practice, particularly the multifunctionality of her work. Today, her works are exhibited in various galleries, especially in Germany. Valeriia’s works focus heavily on texture and color combinations, exploring and emphasizing the importance and aesthetics of urban spaces and details that are often overlooked. In her pieces, she frequently addresses both idealized and spatial aspects.
