The mosaic fountain, designed in 1963 by the GDR artist Ortraud Lerch for the garden of the State Council building of the GDR, which has been used by ESMT for around 20 years. It was an honor for me to reproduce this large mosaic. I had been working on the planning since December 2024. I would like to thank my clients from the , the Berlin State Monument Conservation @ and the restorers who supervised me. In particular, I would like to thank Laura and Federico from for the beautiful material and I thank my great team, the mosaicists , Franziska ,Paulina , Giuseppe , Giulia Scapini and Gabriella Buzzi, and many thanks to Norman@pfeifernorman and Walter for the installation on site! Thanks also to .fo preparing the design file and last but not least Helene S., Rosa R. and for helping whereever needed.

Entrée
Two years ago, Deborah Wargon and I won the City of Solingen's Kunst und Bauen competition for a work of art at Schloss Burg with the design for this mosaic. Yesterday we could celebrate the opening. It is a floor as a dance stage with the notation of a Renaissance dance from the 16th century. The historical music was also set to music by Deborah. We would like to thank the city of Solingen for the commission and the uncomplicated and friendly cooperation!
Thanks also to my collegues in the studio and on construction site Franziska, Paulina, Janos and Doreen.

This picture (thank you Franziska from ) describes where I was in 2024. In a tunnel. With so many different mosaics to do and all the time surrounded by thousands of tesserae.
