Yesterday was my very first Sunday Swap, and if I’m being honest, I was a little disappointed at first when only about half of the people who signed up actually showed up but it’s understandable if emergencies happen. A few didn’t communicate at all, and after putting so much planning into the event, that was tough. But you know what? It turned out to be amazing anyway. 😆
The smaller group meant everyone got to take home even more goodies, and I had the chance to meet some incredibly interesting, funny, creative, and talented people. I was also lucky to have some wonderful friends join in and help make the day special.
The variety of items everyone brought was incredible: 🍦 Homemade ice cream 📚 A “blind date with a book” 🔥 Polymer clay lighter holders 🧺 Homemade laundry detergent 🍞 Sourdough cinnamon rolls 🥕 Fresh vegetables from the garden paired with a recipe 🧵 Beautiful embroidered coin pouches 🪢 Handmade paracord creations from Jon for everyone to choose from.
We also enjoyed snacks, drinks, laughs, and great conversations throughout the day.
More than anything, I’m grateful for everyone who took the time to participate and help build community. That’s what this was really about, and I think we accomplished exactly that. Thank you to everyone who came and made my first Sunday Swap such a success. I already can’t wait for the next one!
