Well, it‘s official. I suck at photography. This is a nightmare! Not only did I have to redo composition and background but also when I tried to photograph it the result was totally disappointing. Why do I see lovely photos of paintings everywhere and mine look like this? 😮‍💨this is a 30x30 cm oil on panel painting from my recent underwater adventure . Me and my tiny camera

Well, it‘s official. I suck at phtography. Totally useless 🙈.
This is a 30x30 cm oil on panel piece that, not only did I have to redo but also when it was finally done i failed to show it in the photo. The colors seem so disappointing in this photography. I swear I did my best.

Sometimes the water is so still that the reflections are nearly perfect.

Summer in Germany was the hottest I have experienced and the longest. Nearly two months of summer, shorts, flip flops and swimming. Unbelievable! I jumped in my favorite lake last week and took the camera with me for some underwater shooting

I nearly drowned trying to take some pictures of our kids in the swimming pool. But there was not missingvthe opportunity. Turqoise waters and sparkling reflections were all there to capture.

This was a perfectly adorable kitten but then I decided it was a little too cute and thought of giving her a hint of sinister …or otherwordly kinda of like a witche‘s familiar if you know what I mean.

I ask my friends to dive for me so that I get a photo suitable for a painting. Do we succeed? Nearly never.
100 photos to get ONE workable snapshot and then to turn it into a painting? Combine more than one gor this.. but I like painting underwater scenes so I go on on a fool‘s errand again and again. So, there was Alex with her flippers and her goggles and her long, swift diving . Perfect!
